Mechanical editing consists of editing for proper grammar and format. This can be tailored to the Chicago Manual of Style if necessary. Mechanical editing does not include any comment on the writing and subject material itself.
Content Editing
Content editing consists of suggestions and comments pertaining to the writing and subject matter. This may include suggestions regarding characterization, dialogue, description, theme, etc.
